Welcome from Ottawa - Canada's capital!
There are four seasons in Canada - almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction. Whoever said that missed the summer months of hot humid days followed by hot humid nights. This winter is forecast to be one of the worst in years, and so far the predictions are correct, with a record amount of snow so far. But then the rains hit. And some more winter. Oh, well.
Well, that's me. After half a century on this planet they give you a white hat. Sort of like when Gandalf the Grey became Gandalf the White. It has the advantage of implying wisdom, though in reality it just keeps the sun from my head.
Now that I'm retired, I get to sit around all day thinking up clever things to put in web pages. That, and repair all the things around the house that have broken since the last time I left the computer. And prepare for winter. We do a lot of that in this country, in fact weather occupies a lot of our time. Preparing for it. Putting up with it. Bitching about it. Thank God for weather - without it, we'd have nothing to complain about.
The rest of the family
Diane, my wife of (desparately tries to remember wedding date), oh yes, thirty-four years, and a handful of pets. Dogs, horses, cats - I don't count the mice that sneak in. For a while, we were without a dog (see here), but we got a new puppy in July. That's all there is. No kids, but the pets help keep us amused. We moved to the country twenty years ago, and never regretted it. If you want to see where we are, take a look in Google Maps - choose the satellite image and zoom in.
Well, enough babble for now. I'd suggest you try Greg's web page. Twice as boring, but at least you don't have to look at my ugly mug! (You have to look at Greg's, though, so I'm not sure if that's an improvement.) Or our godson's page here, if you want to see what a web page is supposed to look like!
