Just like people today, Robert Burns was undoubtedly influenced by the world that he lived in. What was the political and social world around him like in 18th Century Scotland? Who was in power and who held the reins? How did one get a job? What was happening overseas? What technological changes were underway? Who were the other figures of literature, living in the same century?
This presentation explores, in a general way, these and other issues - with Robert Burns as the main character.
