Scottish Rail: Steam & Classic Diesels
an Afternoon of Nostalgia in the Scottish Highlands
Sunday 7th November 2010, 2.15 for 2.30 - 5.45pm

Enjoy an afternoon of video
tapes and DVDs, including B&W footage from 1936 & 1946.
All material is from Bob Bhan's collection.
The tentative programme is:
Admission is free; all welcome, pre-registration appreciated. Timing subject to minor change. There will be a Scottish tea at 4 pm ($5 donation), before the Strathspey movie.
During tea there will be some 5 minute reminiscences from many, regarding specific incidents on Scottish rail. Topics include - * The wandering carriage at Achnasheen - on a mixed train, Sunday evening * exploding transformers on new electric suburban stock - Glasgow 1960s * delays on the Lybster Trainie * walk across a Forth Rail bridge * A problem with a diesel at Kyle - 1959 * Dunbar to Kyle - and back - in a day!
